Sue & Katie began a partnership in late 2005 and named it SM Davidson & KA Monk. They commenced trading in November 2005 from a rented building at 251 Fitzroy Street Dubbo.

In 2008, after seeking legal and financial advice, the decision was made to form a Company. It is known as Studio 62 (Dubbo) Pty Ltd and commenced trading as Studio 62 on 01/07/2008.

By this time the salon had a large clientele. Due to this growth they required larger premises so in December 2008 they purchased a run-down building at 343a Darling Street Dubbo. By February 2009 they had transformed it into large and airy modern premises with room for expansion, and they commenced trading from this address on 09/02/2009.

Due to the extra space in Darling Street (and necessity) they made alterations to the building so they could add in extra hairdressing stations.

In May 2014 more renovations were underway! The wall separating the Old Beauty/Makeup room & waiting room was knocked down to make way for a colour room.
